Some motivation for procrastinators

I was speaking to a friend who was a little troubled about the future the other day, and they said my two cents was very valuable;

Right now we’re sitting on a bench, and there’s four of us. And in this pub there are maybe thirty people. And we live on a road, with hundreds of other people. In our city, there are hundreds of thousands of people, and 67 million in this country. There are over ten times that many people in Europe, and over seven billion people in the world. There may even be ten billion people one day.

The world has been around for billions of years, and will be for many more. We are only alive for a tiny tiny part of that time; on a journey from birth to death. You have this tiny amount of time, to make your mark on the world and make a positive difference, so there’s not much point in worrying about failing. No one, in the grand scheme of things is going to notice if you fail. But if you succeed, and improve people lives they will notice.

So just do as much as you can, learn as much as you can, and give back as much as you can to everyone. And don’t waste your precious time worrying because it doesn’t change a thing.

So get going and do what makes you happy!
